Relapse Prevention: Week One |
![]() | Starting the third module of the 90-day Beginning Addiction Recovery Challenge is a meaningful milestone and we’re so proud of you for making it this far! By now, you have already taken important steps toward understanding yourself, building momentum, and choosing recovery one day at a time. Relapse Prevention is not about expecting failure, it is about strengthening your foundation so you can recognize risk, respond with intention, and keep moving forward even when life becomes challenging. This module invites you to trade fear for preparation. Triggers, cravings, stress, and old patterns can feel powerful, but they are not more powerful than awareness, support, and practiced coping skills. Each tool you learn is another way to protect the progress you have made and another reminder that recovery is built through steady, repeated choices. |
Relapse prevention also means learning to notice early warning signs before they become emergencies. You will practice identifying high-risk situations, planning healthy responses, reaching out for support, and caring for your mind and body before pressure builds. These are not signs of weakness, they are signs of wisdom. People who prepare for difficult moments are giving themselves a better chance to stay connected to their goals. As you begin Module three, remember that your recovery is bigger than any single craving, setback, or difficult day. You are learning how to pause, choose, ask for help, and return to what matters. Every positive action you take in this module is an act of self-respect and a promise to keep showing up for the life you are building. |
