Relapse Prevention: Week Two |
![]() | Week two of your Relapse Prevention challenge is where the skills you learned in modules tone and two turn into daily habits and a healthier lifestyle. The first two modules may have been about showing up, getting honest, and deciding that recovery deserves your full attention. Now, this module is about building rhythm. Every time you pause before reacting, reach out instead of isolating, or choose a healthy coping skill when a craving appears, you are proving to yourself that change is not only possible, it is already happening. Relapse prevention is not about being perfect; it is about becoming prepared. Cravings, stress, difficult emotions, and old patterns may still show up, but they do not have to control the next choice. This week, treat each challenge as a chance to practice: breathe, name what you are feeling, use your support system, change your environment, and give the urge time to pass. A craving is temporary, but the strength you build by moving through it can last. |
Week two is also a reminder that recovery is not meant to be carried alone. Connection protects progress. Whether you attend a meeting, text someone you trust, talk with a counselor, journal honestly, or simply admit that today feels hard, you are choosing support over silence. Each honest action makes your recovery plan stronger and helps you recognize warning signs before they grow. Keep going. The work you are doing this week may feel small in the moment, but small choices repeated daily become a new way of living. Celebrate the progress you can see and respect the progress that is still forming beneath the surface. You are learning how to protect your peace, rebuild trust with yourself, and move forward one steady decision at a time. |
