Taking the First Step
Realizing you need help with your addiction is the first step...seeking treatment is the second. Both steps take courage. It can be scary, but the good news is, you are stronger than you know or you wouldn't be here trying to move forward.
Taking a comprehensive look at your personal situation will help you decide which type of treatment will work best for you. There are several factors to consider before you create your plan.
- Things like finances and responsibilities play a big part in what you can afford and the time you can commit to your treatment.
- Are you strong enough and do you want it bad enough for an out-patient program? Or do you need discipline and strict guidance that an in-patient facility will provide?
- Do your responsibilities (Work, childcare, etc.) restrict your availability making an online program like the Power of 90 Days better?
- Or do you need/want a combination of the three?
- Do you want to detox cold turkey, taper, or with the use of medication?
